Because of what we celebrate and remember today, there is hope.
Rest.
Freedom.
Love.
Relationship.
Purpose.
Restoration.

What a great day! It was really good hanging out with the fam! We, of course, opened gifts, and watched movies/played card games. And I took a three hour nap! Actually, I spent 90% of my day laying down. Absolutely amazing! Christmas was my first day off in nearly three weeks, so I enjoyed every moment of it! I am sad to see it pass.
Materially, I was really blessed! I received a HUGE crock pot and cookbook, a certificate for an hour-long massage, new comforter and bathroom towels, among a few other things. My dad is convinced that I am the world's biggest dork because I was beyond excited to get my crock pot. Hey man, I love to cook but I don't usually have the time anymore.
I finished my day out with Casey and Aza. Casey and I watched a movie and Aza helped me stretch out my ankle (that is mysteriously injured!
How was your Christmas? What did you do?
Guess who drove her car into a shift she wasn't scheduled for?
mee mee!
I was so excited for the extra 5 hours, you have no idea. So, instead of 11.5 hrs this week, I'll get 16.5... not the greatest, but hey, I'll take it...
and a mobile car means I can job search, which is MUCH needed. Please pray that I'm able to find another PT job (or heck, a FT job, even) that won't interfere with my new commitment to the EBC college group.
I'm applying for food stamps & Medicaid in the morning, along with my housemate. It'll help, but I'll still be struggling to pay what loans I couldn't defer and what bills I need to pay. I am doing really well at not stressing out about it, but we'll see how long that lasts.
I am glad to be alive =)

Isn't she gorgeous?!
My best friend of all time, Elysia, is getting married in six weeks. I've not mentioned it prior to this because up until recently I've not known how I feel about the situation... the announcement that they were getting married not only came as a huge surprise for me, but also put strain on our relationship as I had just returned from New Hampshire and was seriously unable to process anything other than the suckyness of my situation at that point.
However, this decision of hers isn't about me, it's about her, and she knows that she knows she is suppose to marry Paul. And so she has my support. I love her and am excited about the new places marraige may take her and her husband-to-be.
I found my size for my dress yesterday as a bridesmaid. It's a nice dress. I'm not a dress-type girl, but I am excited to be able to do this for her; it is truly an honor. I'll even be wearing dress shoes! lol... I hope I dont fall... that would be bad!
In 6 weeks life changes, yet again!
Elysia, darlin, if you read this: I love you!
(for some weird reason, this is the only pic I can find of us together, lol... ai me, I love her!)

Wanna come?
Let me know! It's gonna be AMAZING!!
**a word to the wise: this particular group is LOUD, LOVING, & full of LIFE. I don't recommend coming if you want quiet and calm and need to have a rigid schedule... though, that has happened... once or twice... *wink* We'd love you to join us, but make sure you let me know before hand so I have enough food, and other such things, for you!
